Ring Buying and Wearing Guide for Petite Ladies

My friend and I went shopping for some fashion accessories the other day and it was actually fun until we faced the challenge of finding the right ring for our finger shape. She has short and stubby fingers while I have not too long but thin fingers.

We’ve already tried on almost all of the wholesale fashion rings available in that boutique but failed to find what we’re really looking for. After going to different stores and trying out few more jewelry pieces, we gave up on buying a fashionable ring. We promised to come back after we finally figure out how to buy ring that doesn’t only fits our size but also fits our style.

If you’re having the same dilemma, let me share to you some of the things I’ve found in the internet on how we can enjoy wearing wholesale jewelry despite having stubby or thin skeleton fingers.

For Stubby Fingers

If your fingers look tight and tubular like in the case of my friend, it’s really hard to find a ring that will compliment your fingers. During my research, I’ve found out that it’s best not to wear thin bands because it will only emphasize the thickness of the rest of the fingers. The best thing to do is to slim the fingers with an elongated diamond and build the setting to most flatter the center stone. I bet my best friend will surely love it because she’s also into buying infinity rings and wearing multiple rings.
Another way to make stubby fingers look slender is to paint your nails with nail polish in lighter colors. Pearl, baby pink, mint green or silvery white will look great on your fingers and will specially look chic when matched with the color of your fashion jewelry and your outfit.

For Thin and Slender Fingers

If you have slender, thin and bony fingers like mine, wearing rings with small stones will help you’re your fingers look wider. A thicker band with will also add horizontal lines to narrow fingers and make them look less bony. Thicker or heavily adorned bands draw attention to the ring instead of the middle of the finger thus making it look more fabulous with cocktail or little black dresses.

Fashion jewelry in chic and fun happy colors can also make your fingers look more feminine to contrast the bony shape of your fingers. Square fingernails also create the illusion of wider fingers so take time to have your nails done by your nearby spa for a more polished look.

The only thing you can really do to find the ring that is absolutely suited for your finger shape is to try on different rings and notice how each look on you. As for me and my best friend, we will surely go hunting for our perfect ring again. With these basic guides, we will surely find the best ring for us.
