Tip #1 Be Positive!

Trade shows may produce different results than the others. Some days there will be a lot of sales but some days will be a slow time for business. Do not be disheartened or be negative about these things and try to keep a positive attitude towards your work. Keep a sincere smile on your face when dealing with customers and make their shopping experience worthwhile.

Tip #2 Bring Plenty of Inventory

If you already have an idea of what particular product may be a best seller, bring a lot of those along with your other inventory. There is no way to tell exactly if you’re going to sell a lot or not but it’s important to have everything that your clients may need as much as possible.

Tip #3 Find a Way to Set up Quickly

Maximize your time and effort in trade shows by creating a way to set up quickly and efficiently. This way you can spend more time interacting with your customers rather than wasting all your time setting up your display. Try to find a way to have your jewelry on display already so you can just set it up when you arrive on your booth. This will be especially helpful if the trade show will last for two or three days.

Tips #4 Limit Your Display

Bringing a lot of inventory doesn’t mean you need to display them all.  Too much wholesale fashion jewelry on display will make your space very crowded and can even distract costumers. Showcase enough jewelry to give your customers more choices but don’t overdo it. If an item sells, quickly replace it with a back-up jewelry piece that can be hidden in a box under the table.

Tip #5 Get an Extra Hand

As much as possible, don’t do a show alone. Get a help from your friends or business partners or hire someone who can give you an extra hand in setting up, selling and attending to customers and taking down your display.

Tip #6 Listen to your Customers

When joining trade shows, you can take the opportunity to gather information that may be useful in improving your products and services. Do a quick informal survey to your customers and build a rapport with them. Share some stories about your products and start a little conversation about how much they love your jewelry.

Tip #7 Be Prepared to Negotiate

Some people love to haggle in order to have a good deal when they’re shopping for accessories. Be prepared to negotiate for a price while still making sure that you can gain enough profit to cover up for your expenses.
